Today, we send Wickett off to Kitty Heaven. There she will no longer be blind, her joints won’t hurt, she can run and play and enjoy the sun again. I wonder if you are allowed to chase birds in heaven? If so, she couldn’t be happier. She leaves this earth after 17 years. I found her on the side of the road on Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. Being a dog person, I intended to bring her home and take her to the shelter on Monday. Well, after a few short hours she was curled up in a ball with my dog KimChee. They were inseparable after that. Wickett was a black&white kitty with the shape and voice of a Siamese. She never “Meowed” in all 17 years… she uniquely said “OOOOOwwwwww”. Just ask Sydney what a kitty says and she will tell you “Owww”. Wickett was truly unique and although she played like a dog (she was always around dogs), she was personality-wise ALL CAT.
Good-bye my baby girl. I love you!

This is about a woman in New Zealand who has Down syndrome. It made me smile!! I hope that it makes you smile too!

I got a job offer today for a 9 month consulting role. I am on my knees with thankfulness!! More details to come as I get the papers signed and get a start date. It will be sometime next week. THANK YOU all for your prayers!!!

Anthony: “Mama, can I play in the Rain?”
Me: “Of course you can. Just let me know when you are ready to come in the house…”
